Gavel is a café located in Fountain Square, focused on unique, curated beverages and select small plate foods and prioritizing the customer experience. Central to the menu are brewed coffee and select beer, wine, and low-ABV cocktails. Employees will undergo a refined training program focused on developing skills related to customer service as well as applied knowledge of pour-over coffee, cocktailing, wine service, and food prep. All staff will be required to understand the foundation of these departments and work alongside others in an efficient manner.
Staff titles and positions may include elements of, but not limited to, “Barista,” “Bartender,” “Cook,” and “Server.” Ultimately, a Gavel employee will be responsible for executing high quality, consistent product, and upholding the highest standards of quality customer service possible. All training sessions will be held in house, and will leave no question as to the expectations of our team.
